Moranbong Theatre

The Moranbong Theatre was inaugurated in the spring of Juche 35 (1946).

It has been a venue of important national conferences including the Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Social Organizations in North and South Korea and the first session of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and diverse artistic activities for the development of national arts.

The theatre was renovated to meet the requirements of a new era under the wise leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

The auditorium has 398 seats.
