Friendship Tower

The Friendship Tower was built to convey for ever the heroic feats officers and men of the Chinese People’s Volunteers performed during the Korean war and to add lustre to the friendship between the DPRK and the People’s Republic of China.

Inaugurated in October Juche 48 (1959), it stands at the foot of Moran hill.

It is 30 metres high, and comprises two-storeyed body and a star on its top.

The golden letter Friendship Tower is embossed on the front wall of the body of the tower, which is 20 metres high.
