Kwangbop Temple

Kwangbop Temple consists of five buildings with the Taeung Hall at the centre.

Haethal Gate is the first gate in this temple. In the gate are Manjushiri riding a lion with a lotus in her hand and Samantabhadr riding a white elephant. Tongsung Hall and Sosung Hall are the buildings where monks stayed to study Buddhism and hold memorial services.

As the main building of the Kwangbop Temple, the two-storied Taeung Hall has unique architectural form among Buddhist temples in Korea. Its floor space is 120㎡.
