Chollima Statue

It is a monumental sculpture erected in Mansu Hill.

It depicts a worker and a female farmer sitting on the legendary horse. The worker upholds high "the red letter" of the central committee of the WPK and the female farmer has the rice sheaf in her arms. Their images reflect the grandiose reality and that our people brought about the epoch making change in the period of Chollima movement after the war and show the typical figures of Chollima riders who grew to be the heroes of era in the reality. It was unveiled on April the 15th, Juche 50. It symbolizes the heroic spirit and indomitable fighting spirit of our people. In one word, it can be said to be a symbolic representation of Korea. It is 46m high.
