Pakyon Waterfall

 It is a waterfall in Pagyon-ri in the northern part of Kaesong.

  It is 37 metres high and 1.5 metres wide.

  It is one of the three renowned waterfalls in Korea.

  It falls faster than other waterfalls and the falling water produces a rumbling sound.

  The haze it makes adds beauty to the scenery.

  There are historical remains including the Taehungsan Fort, Kwanum Temple and Taehung Temple built in the days of the Koryo dynasty, and a reserve area of white-bellied black woodpecker.

  There are rest home, several welfare service and recreation facilities.
