Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace
The DPRK has many centres for extracurricular education of schoolchildren, the future of the nation.
In the capital city of Pyongyang there are the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace, together with the Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace.
The Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace was built in May Juche 78 (1989) and renovated wonderfully in December Juche 104 (2015) to meet the children’s feelings and modern aesthetics and as required by the new century.
The palace is fully provided with all facilities necessary for extracurricular education, including a science building, art building, gymnasium, swimming pool and auditorium.
The science building has rooms for computer, physics and other sci-tech groups for schoolchildren to learn sci-tech knowledge.
The art building has rooms for embroidery, calligraphy, accordion, kayagum, vocal music and other circle rooms for schoolchildren to learn according to their tastes and aptitude.
The renovated swimming pool, gymnasium and auditorium are so impeccable as to host international games and any art performance.
The Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace is the palace for schoolchildren to the letter.
